For those of you that have been asking, I am currently accepting both pre-made and custom orders. :) Please feel free to email me with any questions! This month I am celebrating two full years of blog designs. Two years ago, in January 2010, Kreated by Kelsey really took off. I am so thankful for every client that I have been able to work with in the last two years and I am excited for the year to come!

It's been a few weeks since I have posted and the simple reason is that being a first year teacher certainly takes a great deal of my time and focus. :) Because of this, I am going to be at a limited availability status for at least the next month or so. I know that I haven't posted much lately, but it's been for good reason! For those of you that used to read when I had a personal blog, I thought I'd give you an update on my life. :) I graduated from college a few weeks ago with a degree in education... I started a long-term sub job on May 2nd, so that kept me busy through the end of the school year... and finally, I was offered a 5th grade teaching position for next year in my hometown! I am so excited and know that I am very blessed to have a job.

The school year is now over, so that is great news for my wonderful clients. :) End of the school year=much quicker turn around time on designs! Additionally, in an effort to earn a little money to purchase things for my new classroom, I am running a discount of 20% off of all custom design orders of $50 or more from now until June 15th. *Please note that 20% off does not apply to graphic or kit fees.

Do you do Wordpress designs?
I am currently working only with Blogger blogs.

Why do you require full payment up front?
There are a few reasons that I require this. Unfortunately, I've had too many experiences where I've completed designs that are never paid for. In addition to protecting my time and effort, it also helps to speed up the design process. When I'm not having to wait for payments, I can easily finish designs and quickly move on to the next person on the list.

Do you offer a returning customer discount?
Yes! I am happy to offer $10 off of any custom design order $50 or more (excluding graphic and kit prices) to any client that has previously purchased a custom design. Additionally, clients that have previously purchased a pre-made design will be given $10 off of any future custom design order $60 or more (excluding graphic and kit prices). *Offers cannot be combined with any other discounts.

Can I contact you any way besides email?
Unfortunately, I only communicate with clients via email. I will not give out my phone number or my personal facebook account address. This is strictly for security reasons. I do have a business twitter account and facebook page. I check each of these regularly, so please feel free to contact me there!

Do you save my files?
Client files will only be saved if the $10 storage fee is paid at the time of the makeover. If you do not pay for storage, I will be unable to make changes to your design at a later date.

How can I get the pictures on my header changed as my family grows?
If you think that you will want to change out your pictures at a later date, you must pay the $10 file storage fee at the time of receiving your makeover. If you have paid this fee, you can email me with your picture changes. The $10 fee includes one future picture swap. Additional swaps will be completed for a $5 fee per swap (4 pictures or less) .

If I request a "scrapbook blog", will I receive a copy of the design kit?
No. Each design kit is created by a designer who has a specific terms of use. It is against these TOU to distribute a copy of the kit to anyone, including the client who chose to use the kit in their blog design.

How much do iStock images cost if I want to use them in my graphic header?
Each image is sold for a different number of "credits", so it just depends. Each credit costs $1.63. So for a 2 credit image, you would have to pay $3.26. A 14 credit image would cost $22.82. Images can often be found that have options for purchasing smaller versions of the photo--making them less expensive.

Can you help me install third-party gadgets or other items on my blog?
Please contact me for information on installing third-party gadgets such as commenting systems, facebook pages, etc. If I am able to help, I will charge a flat fee for these services.

Will I lose any information on my blog when you install my design?
Everything on your blog will remain the same. Each of your sidebar items will be exactly where it was before your makeover. If you want sidebar items deleted or added, please complete this on your own. I am not responsible for deleting or adding gadgets when installing. After your design is complete, you will still be free to move/add/delete items on your sidebar just as you were before.

Can I have the files so that I can change my own pictures?
No files will be given out at any time. This would be a violation of both my terms and the kit designer's terms.

New Pricing Options

Different pricing options will be going into effect today in anticipation of the new year. It is my goal to provide clients with more control over which items they are purchasing. Instead of preset packages, there will be a base package with "add-ons" for you to choose from. This way you will be able to decide exactly which design items are best for you. You can view the new pricing here or by clicking on the "Prices" button on the sidebar. Please note that due to the pricing changes, the order form has been modified as well.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the new prices. I truly tried to keep the prices affordable for everyone. I think that you will find that the new options will run you just about the same as the preset packages--only with greater variety, options, and choices for you.

With the new year just around the corner, I thought it was time to get some thoughts and opinions from all of you! My first question has to do with purchasing designs from Kreated By Kelsey. I currently offer 3 different packages with the option of purchasing "extras" on top of the package prices. This has worked well for a long time, but sometimes clients don't really want or need all of the items in the package. So what's YOUR opinion? Would you rather I keep the set package prices? I finished Elizabeth's makeover a few days ago and absolutely love the result. Elizabeth gave me a lot of creative liberty to run with. I love working on designs that are a little different than what I normally do. I think Blogging Blondie's design turned out both unique and fun. I also included an option for current clients to have me save their current design to reinstall at a later date in case you want to use a holiday themed pre-made for a few weeks. New Kit Options

I've added a new name to the list of design kits that you have to choose from! Cori Gammon offers many beautiful kits that really add to the variety of kit options available. Cori's kits include a couple of different fall and Christmas themes that would be great if you're in the mood for a new look for the upcoming holiday season. I'm also in the process of adding new kits to each of the current lists, so make sure to take a look! There are so many great kits that would be perfect for a fresh new blog design.

If you visit the site today you'll notice a few changes! Besides giving Kreated by Kelsey a makeover of its own, I've added a set of social media buttons. Here you'll find links to brand new Twitter and Facebook pages. I would love for you to follow and "like" these pages! There might be a special offer in the coming weeks for those that do. :)

You'll also notice a new green tab at the bottom of the right sidebar labeled "Tutorials". There you'll find links to a series of tutorials I've written answering some of your blogging and design questions!

Keep checking back in the coming weeks and months for more changes based on the feedback and requests I've received from all of you!

Just a note to say that I've updated my TOU. Due to a few unfortunate events, I am now having to require that payments be made in full before a design is started. The wait time for a new design is back down to normal since I've been back from vacation. Now that things have calmed down a bit, I have an important question for you all!
